This is all a bit of a confusing mouthful. The Royal Northern College Of Music, in association with Eat Your Own Ears, will present a night of "avant-garde experimentalism" overseen by conductor André de Ridder, who scored and conducted Damon Albarn’s 'Monkey: Journey To The West' opera. The show aims to be an "introduction to the overlap between classical and popular music," and will see the RNCM Symphonic Orchestra perform pieces written nearly a hundred years apart by Stravinsky, and Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood and Ólafur Arnalds also taking part.
The event will take place on 1st July at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, and tickets are available now here. For more information about what this event actually is, visit: bridgewater-hall.co.uk.
