Kaiser Chiefs Bring Olympic Torch To Isle Of Wight
The last UK festival performance from the band was at 2009's Reading & Leeds

The Kaiser Chiefs ended their first UK festival set in two years by bringing the Olympic Torch on stage last night at the Isle Of Wight Festival.Ricky Wilson brought the torch on stage during the final song of their set, 'Oh My God'. Showing it to the crowd, he asked whether they'd "seen this yet?" before declaring that, "This time next year, this'll be lit… let's have a huge round of applause for the Olympic torch.”
The last UK festival performance from the Leeds band was at 2009's Reading & Leeds Festivals.
Kaiser Chiefs released their new album 'The Future Is Medieval' last week, with a unique fan curation method.
The unannounced release of the record was a first - enabling the listener to pick from a selection of 20 tracks to create their own version, complete with unique artwork. The record can then be shared with friends with each sale returning £1 to the original creator.
