LCD Soundsystem stole the first night of Reading Festival with a storming set.Sporting his wellies, James Murphy thanked the crowd for "staying and being so enthusiastic".
"It's very, very muddy and I know however muddy it is for us it's even more muddy for you," he sympathised.
A set followed including 'All My Friends', 'Movement', 'Daft Punk Is Playing At My House' and rousing closer 'Yeah'.
Declaring himself "an arsehole (but not that kind of arsehole)" Murphy also declared the crowd "the best we've had at Reading", suggesting previous visits had not always been so great.
