Child Actor consists of vocalist Sedgie Ogilvy and her beatmaking cousin Max Heath. One hails from Boston, the other bases himself in Conneticut and has worked as part of hip-hop collective Anonymous Inc., as The Fader informs us. To draw up parallels, the material that makes up the duo's forthcoming 'Victory' album is a glorious mesh of experimentation, as production swings from minimal and translucent, to dense and foggy, with hints of Purity Ring and the occasional Grimes-esque bout of dreamy, R&B-tinged pop.
The lead track from the LP, 'If You Loved Me', fuses an old-school guitar sample with a foggy collision of synths and stylish hip-hop arrangements.
The album gets a U.S. release 16th October through Fake Four.
