Marina & The Diamonds Marina Diamandis has described her 2010 as "a failure" in an interview with Australian radio, claiming she's "pissed off I'm not bigger".

"I feel more like a failure than a success," she said. "I haven’t done anything I want to do. For someone who wants to be one of the best artists of her generation, I've done fuck all."

Speaking about the last year for Marina And The Diamonds, Diamandis also claimed her American label hadn't done enough to promote her. "It’s [her American fanbase] been built purely on me and my online presence," she said. "The label haven't really promoted me at all."

However, it's not all doom and gloom. Marina also spoke about the follow up to debut album 'The Family Jewels'. "The second record will be all about the lyrics," she said. "It's quite political and it’s about feminism and sex. It's an abrasive pop record."
