Maths Class They've been quiet for a while, so it doesn't come as a huge surprise that Maths Class have just announced their split.

Posting on their MySpace, the band have released the following statement:

"After lots of discussions about where we think we are as a band, we've decided that it's time to put Maths Class to bed.

We've had the best time and achieved more in a few years than any of us would ever have imagined. We've been to some amazing places, met some unbelievable people and we'd all like to say a massive thanks to anyone who ever came to see us play, bought our cds, wore our t-shirts and was in any way, shape or form nice to us! You've made the last few years very special.

We would also like to thank everyone who gave us gigs, support slots and to everyone involved in helping us release our music all over the world. Thank you so much.

We simply feel that the music we were making wasn't what we wanted to do anymore and rather than try and change Maths Class into something it was never meant to be, we decided it was the right time to call it a day.

That's not to say that it's the end for us though. Tim, Andy, Piers and Alex have all moved to London with the intention of starting a new project together so hopefully it shouldn't be too long before we're back doing what we enjoy most!"

The Brighton four-piece had a few singles, including the 'Now This Will Take Two Hands' single and EP in 2008, and double a-side single 'Emporio Laser' / 'Cushion Glamour' in 2007. We also featured them in our Class Of 2008, back in the day.
