The Futureheads Split Festival has added Mystery Jets, Dinosaur Pile-Up, The King Blues and The Rifles to the line up.

Curated by The Futureheads and now in its third year, the Sunderland-based festival will take place from 17th - 18th September.

The festival has also announced appearances from Dutch Uncles, Hyde & Beast, Little Comets and Beth Jean Houghton, with more acts to be revealed over the coming weeks.

Frankie Francis of Frankie & The Heartstrings has said of the festival: "Split has become an aspiration for many bands of all ages from the Sunderland area. Split has increased the quality and amount of musicians in the city, perhaps implementing a healthy competition as the festival is a real achievable target for the region’s bands as Split is not scared to take a chance on the local bands on offer them the same stage as the nation’s favourites, like they did to us."
