Oasis Lead NME Nominations
Band receive the most nods in reader votes

Oasis, Vampire Weekend, and MGMT have come out top in this year's NME Award nominations.The Manchester group are nominated for Best British Band, Best Live Band, Best Video and Best Album, while Vampire Weekend and Kings Of Leon are nominated in the international categories.
The real news however comes from the fringe awards. Oasis again go head to head with the Jonas Brothers, Scouting For Girls and Fall Out Boy for the Worst Band category, along with German rockers Tokio Hotel. Keith Murray from We Are Scientists also finally receives some recognition with a nomination for Sexist Male along with Carl Barat, Miles Kane and Pete Doherty.
