Peter Moren of, erm, well, Peter Bjorn and John is set to release a new solo album. Hurrah for that, you say. It's in Swedish, mind. And not the kind of Swedish you see in Ikea, we'd wager.'I Spåren Av Tåren' (yes, we did have to copy and paste that) "basically means 'Tracks Of Tears'", Moren clarifies on his MySpace blog. "I've never seriously tried writing in Swedish before, even though it's my mother-tounge. It opens up a whole new field of references to Swedish culture and of course it enables you to express yourself more freely."
Given the only Swedish culture we know involves Tomas Brolin, or the weird range of fish dishes available at the end of your trip to said furniture megadome, we could be struggling here. Still, we're pretty excited. Swedish stuff is great.
The album is set for release in Scandinavia at the start of March. It's produced by Moren and Tobias Fröberg, and Lykke Li drummer Lars Skoglund appears too. Yes, we got excited when we read Lykke Li too, but never mind.
