Richey Edwards Declared Presumed Dead Following a recent court order, missing Manic Street Preachers guitarist Richey Edwards has been declared presumed dead.

The guitarist from Blackwood, Wales, disappeared fourteen years ago when his car was found near Severn Bridge on February 17, 1995. He was 27-years-old. In a court order Edwards' parents granted for him to be declared presumed dead.

The guitarist in Welsh trio Manic Street Preachers, Richey was known for his erratic behaviour- most infamously when he carved "4 Real" into his arm during an NME interview with Steve Lamacq.

Many fans have believed the musician to be alive, with several sightings of the singer reported over the years. He was last seen in London on February 1, 1995.

The remaining members of the Manic Street Preachers announced earlier this month, they are to use the former guitarists lyrics for their upcoming album.
