Following from the revelation that Rivers Cuomo had been recording with Male Bonding earlier this year, the Weezer frontman has told Australian radio station Triple J that he's adding Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino to the ever-increasing list of collaborators.Explaining that he likes working with others - latest album 'Hurley' featuring guest appearances from Ryan Adams and actor Michael Cera amongst others - he told the station: "I definitely really enjoyed working with other musicians, other artists so I continued that process on Hurley. I'm still doing it actually, tomorrow I'm getting together with the girl from Best Coast and we're going to write a song. You never know where these songs are going to end up but it could be on the next Weezer record."
Hipster pop stars aren't the only people Rivers has been working with, forthcoming compilation 'Death to False Metal' features "a song we did called 'Turn Up The Radio'. I actually wrote that with about twenty different kids on youtube. It took many months. You know, we went through all the different steps. Lyrics and melody and chord changes and revisions. I kind of facilitated them through the process of writing a song and we ended up with a song that turned out really good so it's on the new Weezer record."
'Death to False Metal' is released on 2nd November.
