Johnny Foreigner This year's Sellindge Music Festival has been cancelled due to a change in policy at PayPal.

A statement made by organisers on their official website reads:

"Dear Friends

It is with great regret that we have to make the very hard decision to cancel this year's Sellindge Music Festival.

2010 has been an incredibly difficult year for events of this type and we at Sellindge hoped we had done enough to save our little corner of the Festival scene. Unfortunately due to various circumstances it seems we are unable to proceed. We are eternally grateful to all of you who have supported us over the last 11 Months.

The reason for this is a change in policy at paypal which has resulted in a large amount of our funding being held until after the event. Funding that was essential to make this event run. Without that money we have no option but to cancel now to avoid disappointment on the day for you, our customers.

We are currently looking at our accounts and putting in place mechanisms for refunding so please be patient and we will contact you as soon as possible with details of how we will proceed.

Once again, thank you all for your support and belief in this event which we hope will return next year with support from other funding sources.

Many thanks,

Sellindge Music Festival"

Bands confirmed to play had included: Reverend and the Makers, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Johnny Foreigner, Laura Vane, The Foxes, Mean Poppa Lean, Floors & Walls, Lee Westwood, The Wasp Factory and Coda Luna.
