The Verve Pull Festival Slot

The band will no longer appear at Wave Festival in Italy.

The Verve The Verve have been forced to cancel an appearance at an Italian festival today (16th June) due to illness.

Singer Richard Ashcroft has 'severe pharyngitis' and a chest infection, meaning the set at Wave Festival in Livorno has been pulled.

A statement on the band's official website confirms that he "has been advised by a doctor to rest and has been prescribed with antibiotics. The Verve wish to apologise to any fans who have bought tickets and hope to be playing again soon".
