The Vines are ready to get back into performing, with new shows and a new bassist.Speaking to Dreamin' The Insane, manager Andy Kelly said: "The best news I have is that the band are ready to dip their toes in the performance waters again, and we will be announcing some shows soon. I'll let you know in the next couple of days when and where before the official announcement."
When asked whether a new bassist had been added to the line up, Andy revealed: "Yes, his name is Brad Heald, and he is from the same part of town as Craig and Ryan, he grew up around Oatley in Sydney. A lovely gentleman and a great bass player he acquitted himself quite brilliantly tonight. Ryan met him a couple of years ago at a party and they have been friends for a few years.
He also went on to say the band will be revealing new shows within the next couple of days, and that they will be "doing some telly" in Australia, "recording 4 x songs for CD Live."
Unknown to many, The Vines played a very small free secret show yesterday (July 19th) in a side room at the Annadale Hotel in Sydney. According to DTI, the band's management have been saying it was "the best Vines gig they’ve ever seen". It was this gig in which new bassist Brad was officially introduced.

The band's next single is expected to be album title track 'Vision Valley'.
