Tickets On Sale Today: Friendly Fires, Wu Lyf, Foster The People…. The Wanted

Here's a rundown of what's going on sale today (22nd July).

Friendly Fires There haven't been a HUGE AMOUNT of good tours announced this week, but there have been SOME, and as such we've compiled a list of Tickets You Might Want To Buy That Go On Sale Today.

First up, we've got Foster The People playing O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on 20th November. This isn't a one-off or anything, they've already got a short tour planned around the time, but evidently the dates have been selling SO WELL they've added another show to the run.

The main tour announced this week - presuming Girls' doesn't count because it's already on sale - is Wu Lyf. The Mancunians will play eight UK shows this October, including a date at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. Is that a trend forming?

Friendly Fires have added a THIRD date at O2 Brixton Academy to their forthcoming November tour. They'll now play the venue on the 24th, 25th and 26th of the month - and as such need to shift around-about 15,000 tickets. And that doesn't include the rest of their UK run.

Who says it's a bit early to book a Christmas show? Soulwax have announced details for their fifth annual Soulwaxmas event, which will take place on 16th December, 9pm-3am, at O2 Brixton Academy.

For those complaining at this point that we've been rather London-centric so far - it's because elsewhere in the country you've mostly just got dates from the likes of Incubus, who'll be touring their latest album 'If Not Now, When?' in November. Have fun with that.

Regional chaps also have new dates from Ocean Colour Scene (Oxford), Professor Green (Preston and Lincoln), DJ Fresh (Manchester, Norwich and Brighton), Jon Fratelli (Wolverhampton, London and Newcastle), Yellowcard (Birmingham, Manchester and London), and The Wanted (everywhere) to look forward to.
