If you're going to celebrate, then retrospective singles collection 'Payola' seems a bloody good way. Alongside all those solid gold Wakefield hits, there's a new cut - 'Leather Jacket Love Song' - which now has a video.
Recorded during the band's Marr period, the clip is nothing short of brilliant. Mixing up archive home video footage, it sees Jarmans young and old combine to enter a battle of the bands competition, complete with spiky rock guitars. Young Gary should introduce all videos.
'Payola' is a 22-track collection album of the Jarman brothers' past singles, including the likes of 'Hey Scenesters', 'Men's Needs', 'Mirror Kissers' and 'Be Safe'. It will be released through Wichita on 25th February - with a deluxe version of the record set to include 18 rarities and B-sides such as 'Get Yr Hands Out Of My Grave', 'Advice From A Roving Artist', and ' Saturday Night Facts Of Life'.
The album will be released on February 25th, with the band set to play a one off show at London's Brixton Academy on February 22nd.
