It's a good job we love 'Pinkerton' more than some members of our immediate families. Weezer haven't been shy of reminding us just how good their 1996 record is of late, and there's more to come.'The Pinkerton Diaries', a document of what was going through frontman Rivers Cuomo's brain during that time, has been delayed for months already. Cuomo has described the book as “a collection of all my journals, emails, letters, photos, school papers — everything from those years ’94-’97, so you get an inside look as to exactly what I was thinking.”
Alongside the book will be the third Alone album, currently titled 'Alone III: The Pinkerton Years' - pretty obviously featuring outtakes from the same era as the book.
Cuomo has now given fans a preview and a tentative suggestion of a March release. The video (which you can watch below) features Rivers discussing plans to sign 500 posters for people who pre-order the book and the CD.
DIY decamped to NYC in December to check out the 'Memories' tour, which saw the band playing both Blue and 'Pinkerton' in full. You can check out our review here
