Weezer To Release New Album In September

Their contract with Geffen has now finished.

Weezer In an interview with frontman Rivers Cuomo, Newstimes.com has revealed that Weezer will release a new album on 13th September.

They say:

"According to Cuomo, the band is getting ready to sign with a yet-to-be-named independent label and release a new album Sept. 13.

"I've spent the entire morning trying to come up with a name for the record," joked Cuomo, who just turned 40 this year. "How does `Heavy Mental' sound? There's definitely going to be more raw rock energy on this one.""

The LP will follow on from the not amazingly well received 'Raditude', which they released in 2009.
