Jack White has seemingly confirmed that it won't be too much longer before The White Stripes return to the studio to start work on their seventh album, the follow up to 2007's 'Icky Thump', as they've now got their last project "out of [their] system".Of course, it's been 'in the works' for quite a while now; this isn't the first time it's seemed not so far away.
However, in a new interview with Vanity Fair, he said of the band's recent activity: "We thought we'd do a lot of things that we'd never done: a full tour of Canada, a documentary, coffee table book, live album, a boxset... It was one long project that took almost three years."
"Now that we've gotten a lot of that out of our system, Meg and I can get back in the studio and start fresh."
The second piece of White Stripes news we've had in as many days, it was announced yesterday they'll be releasing a new vinyl package just before Christmas.
