Into The Blogosphere (2nd January 2012)
Presented by Jamie Milton
The myth that Christmas should be spent with family, opening presents, drinking mulled wine and frolicking about, has been well and truly put to bed. Christmas 2011 could quite easily have been spent refreshing Soundcloud and finding truckloads of outstanding offerings of new music. An astonishing amount emerged over the past two weeks, enough to give me the fullest optimism about the year that lies ahead. We’ve also been treated to a wealth of amazing song titles this week: From the bewildering and hilarious ‘Flirty Little Fishy’ (Gracie) to the plain strange ‘Enlightenment at a Funeral’ (Choongum). So, thanks to surprising giveaways from Star Slinger, Spectral Park and a few others, the Christmas period was far from a dry spell.
