2 Broke Girls Comes To E4

E4 will air hit US comedy 2 Broke Girls from April 19th.

The show from Sex and The City writer Michael Patrick King centres around Max Black (Kat Dennings) and Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs) who work together waiting tables during the night shift at the Williamsburg Diner.

Max is streetwise and works two jobs just to get by, while Caroline is a down on her luck sophisticated "uptown trust fund princess." After striking up an unlikely friendship the girls plan a joint business venture that requires them to raise $250,000 to start it up.

Dennings is best known for her roles in last year's superhero super-hit feature film Thor opposite Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth and The 40 Year Old Virgin alongside Steve Carell.

Behrs is most recognisable from her television appearences on NCIS: Los Angeles and Castle. She has also appeared in American Pie: Book of Love and Serial Buddies

2 Broke Girls airs on E4 from April 19th at 9pm.
