BBC confirm air date for the 4th series of Being Human.

The long wait is over for fans of supernatural drama Being Human. The fourth series is set to air on BBC Three at 9pm, Sunday February 5th.

With some significant personnel changes on the show, the BBC have been keen to ease fans back into the swing of things with a series of short prequel videos showcasing the new and existing characters.

The departure of the enormously popular Aidan Turner (vampire Mitchell) at the close of Series Three sent the makers of the show on a path to find a replacement blood sucker. They believe that they’ve found their man in newcomer Damien Molony. Molony plays Hal, a 500-year-old vampire who, similar to Mitchell, has been off the blood thanks to his werewolf and ghost pals Leo and Pearl.

With resident werewolf George (Russell Tovey) set to leave half way through the series and the departure of Sinead Keenan (Nina) happening off screen, the lycanthrope baton has been passed to This Is England star Michael Socha (real life brother of Misfits favourite Lauren) who returns as Tom. First appearing in the show in Series Three, Tom is promoted to a regular character and must learn that not all vampires are the enemy.

Fans of the original trio will breathe a sigh of relief to discover that ghostly Annie will not be going anywhere for a while. Actress Lenora Critchlow will, at least for the foreseeable future, remain with the show and elaborate on Annie’s matriarchal side.

It’s exciting times at Honolulu Heights with the new characters and story arch hopefully keeping one of our brightest shows fresh.
