Being Human To Replace Aiden Turner With ‘New Vampire Character’

Turner's character, the vampire John Mitchell, was killed at the end of season three.

Being Human creator Toby Whithouse has revealed the show will have a 'new vampire character' for season four, following the departure of Aiden Turner.

Turner's character, the vampire John Mitchell, was killed at the end of season three by werwolf George Sands, played by Russell Tovey.

In an interview with SFX at Comic-Con this weekend, Whithouse reveals: "[Aiden's departure] has changed everything, really. We've had to create a new vampire character, who we're going to meet in episode one, and then will come into the house in episode two. We're very excited about that - we've a fantastic new actor playing that part."

The fourth season will also likely introduce a "new kind of supernatural creature," though "that episode is still at the storyline stage."
