Eddie Izzard Joins Hannibal

Star set to guest star in the serial killer TV series.

Comic actor Eddie Izzard is set to join new TV series Hannibal in a guest role, Entertainment Weekly report.

The NBC thriller starring Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen (currently winning plaudits for his latest film The Hunt) as Hannibal Lecter and his King Arthur co-star Hugh Dancy (Martha, Marcy, May, Marlene) as FBI agent Will Graham has no premiere date yet but is regarded as a promising prospect and is expected to air sometime midway through the US Autumn season.

Izzard is to play an inmate at the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane and claims to be the “Chesapeake Ripper.”

The actor most recently starred in another NBC project as Grandpa Munster in Mockingbird Lane which aired as Halloween Special in the US last month. He can also be seen in Eric Idle’s star studded filmed radio play, What About Dick? which can be downloaded here.
