Ah the 80's. Was ever a decade so in thrall to grizzly men being grizzly on crackly VHS tapes? Fortunately for us lovers of quality action flicks, Arrow Video have unearthed the 1986 Cannon classic, The Delta Force and will release it in glorious Blu-ray on May 5th 2014. You can punch the air now if you want.

The Delta Force is most notable for marking the last ever screen role for legendary actor Lee Marvin and features the infamous, bonkers vision of star Chuck Norris flying through the air on missle-laden motorbike. They just don't make 'em like they used. Sigh.

Drawing its inspiration from true-life terrorist incidents it feastures the plight of American Travel Ways Flight 282 which has been hijacked by a group of terrorists claiming to represent the New World Revolutionary Organisation. Major Scott McCoy (Norris) and his elite squad of special forces, The Delta Force, are called in to diffuse the situation.

In what will mark it's UK Blu-ray debut, the Arrow release is packed with brand new bonus features in a newly restored transfer. Features include a new documentary; Genre Hijackers, in which filmmaker Mark Hartley discusses the legacy of Cannon Films, a reversible sleeve featuring newly commissioned artwork by Graham Humphreys and a collectors booklet.
