It's been reported by Digital Spy that Channel 5 are set to premiere the hit US TV show Once Upon A Time this coming Spring.
The drama is set in the small town of Storybrooke where fairytale characters have become trapped in the real world. Starring Warrior’s Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan who is reunited with her son, Henry (Jared Gilmore - Mad Men), who she gave up for adoption 10 years before.
Through Henry she discovers that the residents of Storybrooke are in fact fairytale characters under a curse and that Emma herself is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming and is destined to break the curse.
Goodwin is joined by Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, Hamish Macbeth) as, believe it or not, Rumplestiltskin. Big Love’s Ginnifer Goodwin is Snow White and Josh Dallas (Thor) plays her Prince Charming. With Jamie Dornan and Lana Parilla rounding up the stellar cast.
Written by, amongst others, Lost alumni Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis and Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Battlestar Galactica legend Jane Espenson.
Channel 5’s head of acquisitions Paul Fagan had this to say about the show, “there’s no living happily ever after here – these are fairytales as you’ve never seen them before. Once Upon A Time is a magical and mysterious addition to our 2012 schedule on Channel 5.”
A 60-second clip of the show accompanied the final of Celebrity Big Brother on Friday 27th January 2012.
