Sherlock And Game Of Thrones Actors Join Doctor Who

Rupert Graves and David Bradley are set to appear in Series 7 of Doctor Who.

Following on from yesterdays news that Harry Potter star Mark Williams has been spotted on the Doctor Who set the BBC have announced the casting of two more guest stars according to Doctor Who TV.

David Bradley - another Harry Potter actor - and Sherlock star Rupert Graves are set to appear in Series 7 .

Bradley, best known as Argus Filch in the Potter films has ventured into the Whoniverse before by voicing Shansheeth in The Sarah Jane Adventures story Death of the Doctor. He also plays Lord Walder Frey in Game of Thrones, a character that will have some significant storylines in future seasons of the show.

Graves is a regular in Doctor Who boss Steven Moffat's other show - Sherlock - as Detective Inspector Lestrade. He is also well known to audiences as Sir Arthur Hill in period legal drama Garrow's Law.

Over on Den of Geek they report that the upcoming series will have, “fourteen big, blockbuster-movie episodes - each a brand new epic adventure featuring new monsters and some familiar foes as you've never seen them before.”

The official BBC release teases that “Series 7 will then see a dramatic turn of events when The Doctor meets a new friend. Prepare yourselves for thrills, adventures and dramatic surprises as the show builds towards its enormous, climactic 50th anniversary year.”

Filming of Series 7 of Doctor Who is currently taking place in Wales and is due to air on BBC One later in the year.
