Visual Effects Awards for Game Of Thrones And Boardwalk Empire

Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and Terra Nova triumph at the 10th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards.

There were awards last night for Boardwalk Empire, Terra Nova and Game of Thrones at the 10th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards.

Boardwalk Empire took home the awards for Models in a Broadcast Program or Commercial for the episode Georgia Peaches (Matthew Conner, Eran Dinur, David Reynolds, Szymon Weglarski) and Compositing in a Broadcast Program or Commercial in the episode Gimcrack and Bunkum (Anton Dawson, Eran Dinur, Austin Meyers and David Reynolds).

Terra Nova picked up the Visual Effects in a Broadcast Series award for Occupation and Resistance (Kevin Blank, Colin Brady, Adica Manis, Jason Zimmerman).

Created Environment in a Broadcast Program or Commercial for The Icewall (Markus Kuha, Dante Harbridge Robinson, Damien Mac, Fani Vassiadi) and Supporting Visual Effects in a Broadcast Program for Winter is Coming (Lucy Ainsworth-Taylor, Angela Barson, Ed Bruce, Adam McInnes) were awarded to Game of Thrones.

The Visual Effects Society (VES) describe themselves as "the entertainment industry's only organization representing the full breadth of visual effects practitioners including artists, technologists, model makers, educators, studio leaders, supervisors, PR/marketing specialists and producers in all areas of entertainment from film, television and commercials to music videos and games.
Comprised of a diverse group of more than 2,300 members in 26 countries, the VES strives to enrich and educate its own members and members of the entertainment community at large through a multitude of domestic and international events, screenings and programs."
