Call us odd, but when listening to 'Jump In The Pool' we can't help but think of that Nike advert from around the 98 world cup finals. You know the one; Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and co. showboating their way round an airport to the tones of the now ubiquitous 'Mas Que Nada'. It's that carnival percussion. Just one glimpse of that and we're back to Fifa 98 and our youthful attempts to dribble round an entire team, cross into the six yard box and plant a half volley into the top corner; probably not the aesthetic Friendly Fires were thinking of.
Add some brass and blissed out electronic 'stuff', though, and you're close to the aching cool the St. Albans trio most likely desire. Us? We're still a late nineties David Ginola, and there's no way we're passing 'til we hit the byline.
