Official Secrets Act - So Tomorrow

Single Reviews

It’s a vibrant, uplifting and extremely catchy track.

One Little Indian, 8th December 2008 / By Guy Purssell
Official Secrets Act - So Tomorrow Official Secrets Act are blessed in their front man Tom Burke, who is the driving force behind 'So Tomorrow', pulling it here and there and giving it a youthful jubilance which contributes to a confident standing for Official Secrets Act. It’s a vibrant, uplifting and extremely catchy track. 'So Tomorrow' is a foot-stomping, unstoppably charged 3 minutes and 17 seconds of pure indie-pop at its finest.

Official Secrets Act have been going for a while now but it seems that they’ve finally built up an infectious momentum. Undoubtedly radio play by the likes of Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq will help, but it is the band’s own work and their run of brilliant releases which continue to impress, that are the main reason for their inevitable success. Burke, who curiously has no eyebrows, writes lyrics to be extremely envious of that combine fantastically with their new-wave guitar-synth-rock. If 'So Tomorrow' is anything to go by, Official Secrets Act’s imminent debut album is set to be superb.
