‘See Spaces’ copies the dance punk vibe of HEALTH’s ‘Die Slow’, but mixes it up a bit with Crystal Castles without Alice Glass’s screeching trying to distract you from the fact that the music is actually pretty catchy. Instead, Veronica So glazes the track with dreamy vocals that would certainly not be misplaced on your average chillwave album. It all works out remarkably well.
And if that’s not danceable enough for you, then there’s the B-side ‘Time Changes’ that harbours an intro that would make Röyksopp very proud (‘Tricky Tricky’ anyone?) and pays even more homage to the aforementioned Crystal Castles.
Teeth (or TEETH!!!, T3ETH or even T∑∑TH) score major points with this single, even Karl Lagerfeld approves of them – though he is also know to support bands such as Moke (no, you don’t want to know) so maybe you should just give it a listen yourself.
