The Holloways - Sinners & Winners
Single ReviewsThis song is a very unfortunate joke in so many ways.

The Holloways may have run into label difficulties in the recording of their second album, but there really is no excuse for such a poor song as this. They managed to charm enough, mainly with their pop tune 'Generator', to forge themselves a slight cult status, but this new offering will without a doubt alienate some of their previous fans. There seems to be no difference in sound from their debut album, of which the continuation is rather dull, unimaginative and frankly generic in the extreme. It is a very simplistic, vocal led melody, irritatingly naïve in so many aspects. The lyrics are incredibly banal: "Coming out of Topshop / Girl with a crop top / Cheeky little boob-tube YouTube lover" is just one example of this from a song packed so full of cringe worthy lyrics. Hopefully The Holloways do not take themselves too seriously as this song is a very unfortunate joke in so many ways. This is a band that was once predicted by some very influential figures in the music industry to go far. They are in danger of flopping in a truly ridiculous manner.
