Premiere: Macks Faulkron - Anna

Macks Faulkron - of Wet Paint 'fame' - is releasing his debut EP via Records Records Records on 19th September.

To celebrate, we've a little preview for you - download featured track 'Anna' below.

The EP, titled 'Friends', was recorded at Rex Studios in Islington earlier this year, and it'll be released on 12th September.

Other tracks featured on the seven-song release include: 'All I Ever', 'I Want To Know', 'Moldy', 'Picture Of You', and 'Pleased To Know'.

Faulkron comments: "The EP shows a different side of me. [Preceding single] 'Hairspray' is quite polished and digital, whereas the songs on the EP were recorded almost live in a short space of time. This meant I had to take a completely different approach. I wanted to create a record that expressed my existence in the last five years or so. So many people have come and gone in and out of my life, and it’s something that plays on my mind a lot. Where are they? Where are my people, and do they exist?"

'Love The Way You Walk Away' is taken from Blitzen Trapper’s new album; they'll release ‘American Goldwing’ next month, on 12th September, via Sub Pop.

Speaking about the record, vocalist Mark Earley says: "American Goldwing is us letting our loves and early influences hang out for all to see. We entered into the sounds we grew up with - the hard guitar rock and country picking of our younger years mixed with glimmers of our usual space-aging technology and pawn shop Casios."

Howling Bells recently premiered a new track, 'Loudest Engine', from their forthcoming new album - and now they're giving it away.

The band will release their album of the same name - which they recorded in Las Vegas with The Killers’ Mark Stoermer producing - on 12th September.

Founding member Joel Stein says of the release: "The album shows that we're we're 21st century kids making a modern psychedelic record. [It] is our grown up record. The first was about that great initial leap, the second was us exploring different waters. This one is us, all having met at one place, at one time. I think this record will change people's perspectives of the band."
